UPDATE: We would like to share a few pictures from Sebastian’s fundraiser and give you an update on where the monies went. We understand transparency is key in these situations and are excited to share with you how the money that was raised that night was utilized. We raised $9246.46 in total food sales for the entire day and that money went to Sebastian’s mom (via check) for funeral expenses and other misc. expenses. We had also raised another $5958.00 in raffles and cash donations which we put into a fund for Kai which will pay for misc. expenses in regards to diapers, food, etc.

The GoFundMe page is up to $33,718.00 and we have arranged a meeting at Huntington Bank on March 16th for myself and Kai’s mom Amy to deposit into a 529 College Fun. Elaine has been instrumental in organizing the page and has been working with GoFundMe to get that money into that account once it is open. Again we sincerely appreciate everyone’s help and support that day and look forward to getting to know Kai as he grows up. Portage Lakes is an incredible community and the love that was shown that evening for one of our own will always be remembered.
